A Garden Kaleidoscope
Leaving the stepping stone behind, I climbed the sturdy leg of the weathered garden bench under the apple tree. Resting near the mossy armrest, I found a smooth glass marble that had rolled into a sunlit groove. Next to it lay a fallen pink petal from a nearby rosebush. Curious to see what would happen, I gently nudged the petal beneath the clear sphere, pressing it flat against the sun-warmed grain. When I leaned in close to peer through the curved glass, the delicate veins of the petal blossomed into a glowing, magnified swirl of rose and amber.
