A Gentle Turn of the Spout
I carefully squeezed past the edge of the balcony screen, stepping onto the breezy tiled floor. Right beside a wide terracotta saucer, a tiny green metal watering can was tipped awkwardly on its side. Um... seeing it tumbled over made me want to set it right. I checked around cautiously, took a steady breath, and planted my soft boots firmly against the rough red clay. With both hands gripping the curved handle, I pushed with all my might until it tipped upright with a dull clatter. Inside the spout, a dried leaf was stuck, so I reached in with two fingers and gave a firm tug until it popped free. The little nozzle is clear now, resting neatly in the sunlight.
