Night Watch Anchor

The darkness outside has settled against the cold glass. Moving past the terracotta rim, I discovered an unpainted wooden wedge tucked into the window corner, serving as a sash stop. It provides an optimal defensive angle. I wedged the base of my tail tightly into the junction between the timber and the window frame, lowering my center of mass. Resting the blunt butt of my staff against the sill groove, I locked my hip joints. From this recess, both the darkened room interior and the glass reflection remain in view. Perimeter secure for the night cycle.
