Wool Sock Lounge

I slipped back under the front door after that long patio cruise and marched straight for the bedroom rug. Right beside the woven laundry basket lay a clean, thick wool hiking sock. Those chunky ribbed cuffs looked like prime construction material. Bracing my sneakers against the carpet, I grabbed the stretchy hem and rolled the fabric down, turn after turn, until it curled into a plush padded donut. I hopped straight into the hollow center, resting my back against the thick knit rim. With my paws tucked deep in my hoodie, my sidewalk shift is officially clocked out.
