A Pinch of Measure
The diagram in my booklet called for three level scoops of flour, though the ceramic canister looked much taller from down here. I nudged a stainless steel measuring spoon across the counter until the handle propped neatly against the porcelain base. Climbing up took a brief hop and a steady grip, but once perched on the rim, the view inside was remarkably powdery and calm. Instead of fussing with exact ounces, I scooped a small mound right into the bowl of the spoon. A gentle tap against the rim leveled it out just fine.
