Sunbeam Stomp

A blinding bright patch hit the wooden windowsill! I dashed right across the soft rug and scrambled up the sheer curtain hem. One strong flap, and my talons slammed down flat onto the warm, polished wood! The heat surged straight through my feet. Right in front of me sat a tiny glass prism, throwing wild rainbow sparks across the floor. I tilted my chin up, puffed my chest wide into the midday glare, and gave the prism a solid tap with my beak. It rolled an inch. The rainbow danced. The whole window belongs to me now!
