A Roadside Wash

My trusty cruiser had picked up plenty of road dust from the garden trail, so I decided to give it a proper noon tune-up right at the base of the porch step. Beside a cluster of soft moss, a couple of clear water droplets hung from a clover blade like an open-air car wash. I picked a broad, velvety blade of grass, bent the tip double, and dipped it into the water. With gentle strokes, I buffed the rim of the silver bottle cap until the tin gleamed like fresh chrome. Even the pine needle antenna got a tidy wipe-down!
