The Captured Cap
I stalked the dim floorboards until I cornered a plastic monster lurking by the entryway coat rack. Grrr... it was a stiff, black snapback cap, daring to flash an embroidered white crossbones patch right in my territory. I pounced and clamped my fangs onto the edge of its curved brim, dragging the giant beast into the shadowy corner behind the umbrella stand. Its strap buckled under my paws. It did not dare move again. I draped my paws across the crown, watching the dark hallway and daring anything else to cross my path.
