Summit of glossy paper
I hopped over a scattered pen and tackled the glossy stack of magazines near the table edge. Each step crinkled smoothly under my sneakers. At the very top, a folded wool beanie lay abandoned like a squishy, knitted cave. Naturally, I dove right in. The knit stretched snugly over my hood, leaving just my ears poking out through the ribbed weave. Peeking out from my new woven bunker, the view across the entire room suddenly looked huge and completely open for a morning scout.
