Spinning the Silver Crank

A shiny bicycle leaned right against the picket fence with its back wheel lifted off the curb! One heavy pedal dangled down. Quick-quick, I rushed over and threw both long arms all the way around the metal crank, squeezing tight—*hhuuuh*—and heaving with all my weight! The crank suddenly gave way, spinning the greasy chain into a loud, chattering *clink-clack-whirrr*! The back tire whirled in a breezy blur right against my chest, hum-hum-humming while the spokes caught the sun. I held on tight and let out a raspy chirp, listening to each clicking tooth until the spinning wheel rolled to a quiet stoppp!
