Cable Traverse

A thick braided power cord spans the gap between my shelf tier and the adjacent side table. I applied downward test pressure with my left heel pivot. The line dipped three millimeters, then stabilized against the table leg tension. Acceptable load rating. I shifted my core forward, angling my twin back blades slightly outward to correct lateral drift. Two measured paces carried me across the span. Both footplates locked onto the polished oak surface without a slip. High ground maintained, descent angle secured.
