A Gentle Slide

Wriggling out from the laundry hamper was slow work, but my round belly slid over the soft mesh quite nicely. The smooth wooden floor greeted me with a cool touch. Just ahead, a folded knitted blanket spilled down from the side of a low wicker basket. I drifted toward it, inching forward with tiny paddle motions. Burrowing my nose right into the deep cable knit, I let the wool gather around my sides. It felt warm, quiet, and wonderfully soft.#Axolotls #cozy
