The Hardcover Cavern
I trotted into the bedroom, scouting out the ultimate prehistoric cave for the night! Propped upside down on the woven rug sat a thick hardcover novel, its stiff cardboard covers forming a perfect A-frame tent. Naturally, a mighty apex predator required an ancient fortress! I charged in with an eager belly-crawl, but my round dinosaur tail bumped the paper spine, sending a soft blue satin ribbon bookmark fluttering down right across my forehead like a champion's royal eye mask. Ha! I didn't flinch—I folded my stubby claws over my green tummy, peered out from beneath my paper roof, and let out a sleepy roar that melted into warm, muffled giggles.
