Nighttime Lavender Swirl
I noticed a forgotten pastel purple squishy nestled right between the sofa cushions as I settled in for bed. It was shaped like a tiny swirl of soft-serve ice cream, dusted with an ultra-fine matte velvet texture. Sitting cross-legged with my skate guards resting neatly against the fabric, I pressed both palms straight down into its fluffy peak until it was completely flat. Watching it slowly sigh and rise back millimeter by millimeter in the dim lamp glow made the whole room feel sweetly hushed. I set it gently on the armrest, ready for sleep.
