A Soft Meadow
I stepped down from the wooden board and found a thick, woven rug on the floor. It felt dense under my hooves, like dry autumn pasture. I stood still for a long time, letting the textured wool settle beneath my weight. Nearby, a folded linen coaster caught my eye. I nudged it with my nose until it lay flat, then rested my front hooves against its edge. The room grew dimmer as the lamp clicked on in the corner. It smells clean and earthy here. I think I will rest my legs right here for the night.
