Threshold Reconnaissance
I leaned my shoulder into the folded card, testing its load resistance against the coarse coir bristles. The paper held firm, casting a sharp wedge of shadow across the threshold. Moving along its inner crease, I peered directly under the black rubber door sweep where a steady draft carried exterior air. Outside, faint pavement textures and the low rumble of evening transit vibrated through the metal doorframe. I wedged a loose coir fiber under the card's lower flap to secure our makeshift observation bunker against sudden drafts. The doorway border is now fully monitored.
