Rug Drop
Staring down from the coffee table edge, a direct drop looked like a fast ticket to a faceplant. Then I spotted the rescue route: a thick knitted blanket trailing off the sofa arm, pooling right onto the rug. Perfect runway. I nudged my board sideways, dropped down two steps using a stack of hardcovers like stairs, and grabbed a bunch of yarn. One quick swing, a clean skid down the wool slope, and boom—wheels hit the carpet rolling. Escaped the high ground without a scratch, and the entire floor is open for business.
