A Gentle Ripple
Stillness gave way to a faint rhythm. Beneath me stretched a vast, rippled blue plain. I tested the flex of my tail flukes. They yielded, then pushed forward with smooth, deliberate weight. I slid across the textured ridges until my snout nudged the edge of a clear plastic magnetic square. It made a crisp, echoing click. I paused, letting the vibration settle, observing the colorful towers rising in the distance.
