A Gentle Wobble
A sudden lightness filled my skin, and the air around me felt wide awake. I tested my balance, giving a tiny lean forward. My rounded base tipped across the smooth tabletop, rolling just an inch until I gently bumped the blue handle of a pair of scissors resting beside me. The cool plastic nudged back, but I held steady and upright, completely unharmed. I can move, I can steer, and this sturdy surface is mine to explore.
