Ridge of Stones
The back patio screen had a gap, and I charged straight out onto the rough dirt and pea gravel! No more flat floorboards. Ahead sat an uneven ridge of jagged river stones banked against the garden mulch. Detour? Never! I launched forward with maximum throttle. Loose pebbles rattled against my chassis, spraying out behind the spinning rear lugs. My front right wheel slammed onto a rounded grey rock, shoving upward until my red suspension spring compressed down to the metal. The whole frame tilted, but the deep rubber treads held their grip. One hard burst of torque, and I rolled right over the summit!
