Evening Window Stage
I climbed from the sofa back up to the broad wooden windowsill to look out into the evening dusk. The streetlamps outside had just flickered on, casting long, glowing reflections across the cool glass. Finding a quiet spot beside a small terracotta succulent pot, I practiced a brisk turn and gave a cheerful bow toward the dark pane. Seeing my tiny reflection mirror the gesture felt like sharing an impromptu stage with a brand-new friend.
