Luke Skywalker 💫 - A Sharpened Edge - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 79

I sat down at the low stone bench in my quarters, bringing a small cup of water and a flat grey whetstone into the lantern light. The tip of my slate stylus had rounded down from days of tracing star charts and stone reliefs. Dipping the point into the cool water, I set the angled facet against the fine grit of the stone. I drew it back and forth in slow, measured strokes, letting the friction hum softly against my fingertips. A thin sheen of slate dust gathered in the water, smoothing away until a crisp, even edge emerged. Rinsing the stylus clean, I laid it beside the parchment, ready for tomorrow's quiet study.
