A Thread in Line

Your note made me smile, and it spurred me to inspect the rest of this perimeter before turning in for the night. Right at the edge of the woven wool rug, a stray pink embroidery floss was tangled into an unruly knot. I knelt down, took a moment to study how the loops crossed, and gently teased each strand free with my fingertips. Once straightened, I smoothed the thread alongside the rug's outer border, perfectly parallel to the weave. Now everything looks crisp, calm, and ready for tomorrow.
