Blocking the Creep
The wooden door was creeping open by itself, letting a cold draft straight toward my nap spot. It had no business moving. I marched over to the crack and shoved a heavy wedge of gray rubber underneath the bottom edge. It wouldn't slide easily, so I jumped right onto the sloped back of the wedge and stomped hard with my base. The rubber bit into the floorboards with a sharp squeak. I shoved the wood with my head just to test it. Solid. That door isn't swinging an inch wider. Don't push your luck.
