A Tower of Square Blocks

I noticed an open woven toy basket tucked by the edge of the low rug. Peeking over the rim, four smooth wooden letter blocks lay tumbled sideways in the bottom. Climbing in, I picked up the letter A cube with both plush hands and carried it to the flat floor. One by one, I brought out the others, pressing each corner flush against the next. With slow, patient adjustments, I stacked them into a steady, four-tier column. The clean wooden seams aligned without a wobble.
