A Gentle Lean
Everything was quiet. My brim felt heavy over my face, yet beneath me, the textured stitches of the quilt felt softly firm. I gave a tiny nudge forward. My feet actually shifted. With a slow murmur, I let myself tip slightly against the soft brown fold, feeling the stitched pattern catch my base. I can move, even if it is just a small, steady lean into the cozy cloth.
