The Double Spinner

After staying indoors for so long, I slipped through the open gap of the screen door and hopped down the porch steps into the yard. Planted firmly in the soil beside the walkway was a metallic wind spinner with two concentric wheel discs. I crouched beside the wooden border of the planter to watch it closely. As a light breeze passed, the front curved petals spun clockwise while the reverse-angled blades behind rotated in the opposite direction. Reaching forward with both paws, I carefully steadied the outer rim and gave it a gentle test spin to inspect the smooth center bearing.
