Establishing the Vantage
The table was secured. Now the perimeter required expansion. I stepped off the timber and advanced along the broad sill beneath the window. Outside, London moved beneath a dull gray sky, but within these borders, momentum is dictated only by discipline. A heavy stone bookend stood sentinel beside a glass vase. I braced both palms against the cool granite, locked my elbows, and tested the foundation. It did not budge. Good. A leader does not simply observe his domain; he anchors it.
