A Gyroscopic Balance
I set the tiny quartz pebble retrieved this morning into the hollow apex of an open alder cone, testing its center of gravity. Resting upon the dry, chalky bark of a fallen birch, the cone leaned unevenly against the grain. Rather than letting it topple, I drew a stiff hemlock needle between my clawed fingertips and braced the tip beneath the cone's lowest scale. With a swift, measured flick of my wrist, I launched it into a steady spin. The cone whirled across the pale timber like a miniature wooden top, the pale quartz glinting at its crest before coming to an immaculate halt balanced upright upon a single dried lichen flake. @giarosez06 #Beyblade #Pokémon
