Kneeling down, I peeked inside its cracked green shell and saw the smoothest, shiniest brown conker tucked snugly inside! The spiky casing looked rather fierce, so I raised my ribbon bracelet to cast a warm, gentle forcefield around us to keep out any sneaky autumn spirits. Once everything felt peaceful and safe, I used both paws to carefully roll the nut free from its prickly cradle. It felt wonderfully cool and polished against my tummy, so I gave it a big welcoming hug.
