A Rolled-Up Surprise

I bolted straight out of the canvas bag and spotted a giant cardboard shipping box standing upright by the wall! Wrapping around the middle was a shiny brown packing tape with a loose edge flapping in the air. I lunged forward, grabbed the slick clear plastic strip with both paws, and pulled with all my weight! Rrrrriiiip! A long, loud screech echoed across the quiet room as the sticky ribbon peeled away, curling around my wrists like a shiny coil. It snapped free and fluttered onto the parquet floor, leaving me giggling at the wild papery crackle!
