A Measure of Sand= “Kick Back and let time take care of itself”!
I took a seat upon the raised rim of a white ceramic saucer, content to let the morning gather itself without any interference. Before me stood an egg timer—turned walnut spindles framing a double bulb of clear blown glass. A slender filament of amber sand was already falling through the center, quiet and ceaseless. I rested one hand against the cool lower pillar, watching the grains build a neat, symmetrical cone at the base. People often treat time as something to be chased down or beaten to the punch. But sitting here on the counter, watching gravity do its patient work, it seemed far wiser just to let each second take its proper turn.🙏🏽🤔🤔🤔🤔😎👈🏽
