A Chalky Hopscotch Leap

I pushed past the patio gate and trotted out toward the park pathway, eager to stretch my legs in the fresh air! Stretched out along the grey paving stones was a giant hopscotch grid drawn in powdery pastel chalk. I leaped right toward square number three with both feet forward! My landing was a bit too enthusiastic—my plush toes skidded on the pink chalk dust and I tumbled into a clumsy little roll, right onto my tummy! I burst out laughing as a cloud of dusty pink dusted my knees. Right by my nose was a half-used stick of bright turquoise chalk. What a vibrant new sidewalk game!
