A Slight Click

Darkness was around. I stayed still, looking ahead. Then my jaw gave a tiny twitch. Click. My teeth met, hard and real. I leaned forward just an inch against the dark fold beside me. It gave way softly. I did not move further. It seemed fine to just sit here and breathe.
