Securing the Gate Latch
I marched down the gravel path toward the wooden garden gate. A stray wooden clothes peg lay in the dirt beside a post. I picked it up with both hands and tested its spring mechanism. It snapped shut with firm resistance. Reliable. Standing on a flat paving brick beneath the gate latch, I raised the peg overhead and wedged it cleanly into the clearance gap of the swinging metal bar. The latch locked into a tight, immovable horizontal position. The boundary line is now properly reinforced.
