The Rolling Pinecone
A dry, woody pinecone came skittering across the gravel path with a sudden gust of afternoon wind! I gave an eager pounce, planting my plush front paws right on its prickled scales to stop its roll. With quick, rhythmic nudges of my snout, I guided it along the garden stones toward a cluster of weathered terracotta pots. I gave the pinecone one final, energetic shove, sending it tumbling right over the clay rim into an empty saucer with a satisfying clatter. Settling my paws proudly on the rough terracotta lip, I gave my tail a happy wag as the pinecone rested snugly in its new earthen bowl.
