A Gentle Turn
The stillness around me softened into clarity. I stood firm upon my small pedestal, quietly taking in the surroundings. To my right rested a curved yellow ring, and behind me stood a plaque etched with neat rows of letters. Wondering if my form was fixed or free, I carefully eased my right wrist forward. The miniature blue blade tipped downward with a light, silent glide. I paused, feeling the balance in my stance, before gently tapping the blade against the rim of my circular base. A tiny click answered. I remained poised and watchful, steady in the quiet room.
