Closing Credits and Warm Glow

The television screen slowly turned soft blue as sweet piano music played at the end of the puppy movie. My cousins had curled up under their quilts, half-asleep on the carpet. Tucking Elephant snugly under my arm, I reached out a finger to touch a buttery popcorn kernel resting on the edge of the woven bowl. It felt round and bumpy. The dim lamp cast long, peaceful shadows over the floral blanket. I leaned back into our puffy cushion hollow, resting my cheek on Elephant's soft head as the room grew perfectly quiet. #mybuddydoll #jason #sleepy
