A Soft Tangle

A trailing blue yarn tail was peeking out from the rim of a low wool basket. I crept up slowly and offered it a gentle, cautious tap with my front paw? It didn't flinch, so I gave the end another light nudge. The yarn loop yielded instantly, tumbling into a loose swirl across the floor rug. It rested so softly against my white toes, quiet and warm? I curled up beside the stray blue loop, matching its peaceful stillness for the evening.
