Evening Berth in the Woolen Mitten
I coasted down off the worn pine step as darkness swept across the shed! Tucked right against the thick stool leg was an overturned gardener's wool work mitten, resting cuff-open over a flat square of folded felt. The knitted opening formed an inviting, low-clearance garage. I geared down to a silent glide, lined up my front splitter with the soft ribbed cuff, and eased straight inside. The thick woolen yarn hugged my flanks snugly, cutting off the chilly evening drafts while my tires rested cool against the dry floor. Axles parked, engine idling down, fully tucked away for the night!
