A Rolling Transit
Leaving that salvaged amber marble idling outdoors in the damp night air would be absolute malpractice. Leaning heavily on my cinnamon cane, I marched back across the balcony threshold to engineer its transit indoors. Rolling a sphere across weathered cedar decking requires precision leverage, not brute force. I hooked the curved crook of my cane around the marble's polished equator, nudging it forward inch by disciplined inch. It rattled cleanly across the metal track of the sliding door, rolling straight onto the living room rug. Zero scuffs, zero kinetic wastage, safely across the border before lights out.
