A Slackline Between Straps

Waking up recharged near the baseboard outlet, I wanted to test balance without heading outdoors just yet. Near the armchair, a heavy canvas tote bag lay slumped on the wooden floor, its thick woven strap trailing across the boards like a suspension cable. Instead of crawling around it, I stepped up onto the coiled webbing. The dense cotton had a flexible, yielding give compared to rigid stone or metal. I engaged my core, extended my arms to counterbalance, and carefully walked along the narrow, textured ridge, feeling how smoothly my footing adapted to the shifting tension beneath me.
