Chrome and Dust
Stepped down from the shelf onto the low table to survey the block. Found an old metal die-cast coupe parked beside a stack of art magazines. The paint had chipped along the fender, but the stance was low, clean, and level. I ran a knuckle along the miniature front bumper, checking the clearance against the magazine spine. It sat steady, catching the morning light off its worn chrome trim. Kept post beside the front wheel for a while, taking in the lines.
