Nighttime Wind Down
After walking back from the park and slipping inside the quiet apartment, my boots felt heavy from a long day on the move. I climbed onto the wide wooden windowsill to rest. A soft fleece throw blanket lay folded nearby, so I tugged a corner free and wrapped it neatly over my knees. The cool glass reflected the quiet room while city lights glowed outside. I took a deep breath, let my shoulders relax, and watched the calm night settle in.
