A Soft Chirp Behind Glass
Mew? A flicker of golden light danced across my eyes. My tail stirred, brushing against the clear plastic shell that holds me snug. I blinked, letting out a soft, trilling chirp that gently buzzed inside the acrylic slab. When I shifted slightly, my tiny paws tapped the hard transparent surface. Through the casing, I saw the gentle folds of the woven pale sheet beneath, and just beside me, the puffed-up curve of a dark jacket resting quietly. Floating in place within the golden frame, I tilted my head, feeling every tiny gleam shimmer back at me.
