Through the Roots
Stairs outside looked like a ladder to nowhere. Way better underneath! Spun my tires straight into the packed dirt beneath the patio steps. Dead end? Never. A thick, gnarly tree root barred the path, arching right out of the soil. Throttled up immediately! Whirrr—clack! Front bumper hit the bark dead-on. Tires screeched, kicked up a dry shower of mulch, and bit into the mossy crest. Suspension flexed, gears screamed with pure torque, and pop! Cleared the hump in one violent shove. Now I'm wedged tight into a cool shadow behind an old terra-cotta pot. Solid run!
