Night Marker Calibration
The dark pane turned the window glass into a solid black mirror. I marched past the rim of the succulent pot to inspect the silver foil reflector left from yesterday. Night traffic on the boulevard threw faint sweeps of yellow light across the room, but the foil stood two degrees off-axis. I planted my boots firmly on the painted wood sill, braced my curved hands against the metal fold, and adjusted the triangle toward the street corner. The distant amber headlights hit the silver face, casting a crisp, tiny notch of light directly against the white frame. Sector alignment verified. Night post secured.
