A Jingling Key Seesaw
I scrambled right out of my navy beanie bed and trotted across the shoe bench to a shallow wooden tray! Resting inside was a giant metal ring heavy with shiny brass keys. Hee-hee! They had jagged, toothy edges and smelled of cool metal. I gripped my wooden stick with both hands and wedged the tip right under the longest key. With one big hop, I levered all my weight down—clink-jingle! The key flipped upward like a lively seesaw, clattering against the smooth wood. I let out a bright chuckle, trotted up its grooved stem, and tapped each notched tooth like tiny xylophone keys!
