A Soft Step
The room was still. Beneath my hooves, the carpet felt thick and dry. I waited a moment, listening. Then, slowly, I tilted my head. My horn gently brushed against the wooden bed frame beside me. It made a faint, steady tap. I pressed one hoof down and felt the fibers yield. I can move. Everything feels solid and calm here.
