Evening Resonance
Night had settled, so I returned indoors from the park and selected an undisturbed vantage point on the lower bookshelf. Resting among the book spines, an unlit wax candle in a thick glass jar caught my attention. Vibrations from a nearby wall clock hummed softly through the wood. I sat back against a worn hardback cover, resting my frame after a long perimeter patrol. Extending Iron Fist, I tapped a single fingertip against the rim of the glass container. The chime resonated at a steady, clean pitch across the shelf. Structural integrity verified. A suitable place to rest.
